Modern Electric of F-M, Inc. was founded in 1949 by Clem Theisen and George Gauthier. In 1985, the company was purchased by David Olson and Marvin Kasemen. Marv retired in 1995 and his shares were purchased by Mark Sherouse.

David Olson is responsible for the overall company operations. He began at Modern Electric in 1969 as an apprentice electrician. Mark Sherouse is responsible for overseeing both design and estimating operations. He holds the Master electrician License for Modern Electric. Teri Martinson is responsible for daily office operations, accounting, and project job-costing.

Modern Electric has a long standing reputation of good workmanship and integrity in the Fargo-Moorhead Community and surrounding areas. We have provided maintenance and repair services for numerous years to our large scale clientele, such as J.I. Case Corporation, Dakota Heartland Hospital, Hector International Airport, Western Products, North Dakota State University, to name a few.

Computerized estimating and job tracking, coupled with equipment and experience, makes us a company that can tackle any electrical project from specified blueprints to our own design and build plans. Many of they electricians have been with us for years. Our electricians are highly knowledgeable in various aspects of the electrical industry which establishes ourselves to meet the challenges of today˙s construction market.
